To attach the eyepiece, match the white line on the eyepiece with the white dot on the bayonet fitting, insert the eyepiece into the body, and rotate clockwise a ¼ turn until it clicks into place and is lined up with the indicator line.

Attach the Viper HD to a tripod or car window mount for steady viewing. Secure the tripod mount foot on a quick-release plate or directly into the mounting plate receiver of certain tripod heads.

Adjust the magnification by turning the adjustment ring clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease. After setting the magnification, rotate the focus dial until the image becomes clear.

The adjustable eyecup on the Viper HD twists up and down so you can observe the full field of view if you wear eyeglasses or sunglasses. Fully extend the eyecup for best viewing without glasses.

The tripod mounting collar allows you to rotate the spotting scope body for greater viewing flexibility. Loosen the thumbscrew, rotate the body to a comfortable viewing angle, and secure the mounting collar with a clockwise turn of the thumbscrew.

Extend the fitted hood to effectively block out disturbing stray light. The sunshade also shields the objective lens from mechanical damage and guards against soiling by fingerprints and precipitation.
