The Recon R/T is a unique, advanced tactical piece of equipment that is unlike any other in the field—the first truly compact, full-featured spotting scope developed especially for field surveillance and range estimating. The quick-handling, lightweight design features brilliant optical performance using Vortex premium XD glass and XR lens coatings.

The versatile attachment clip secures the Recon R/T to any belt or strap for rapid deployment. The R/T ranging reticle using mrad-based subtensions also includes a secondary quick-ranging system with silhouettes.

The Recon R/T reticle is based on an angular measurement called the milliradian (mrad for short) that allows you to calculate ranges when comparing the reticle to an object of a known dimension. The key to effective ranging with this reticle is knowing the measurements of common objects in your vicinity.

The Recon R/T features a winged eyecup that blocks stray light when fully extended. The heavy duty folding flared rubber eyecup is designed to accommodate both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers.

Use the main focus wheel on the eyepiece to obtain crisp, sharp images of objects at varying distances. The reticle focus, located on the eyepiece next to the eyecup, adjusts the sharpness of the reticle.

The Recon R/T Monocular with 15x magnification and 50mm objectives lens is a great option for long range observation and range estimation. Fully waterproof and fogproof, this unit can be used anywhere.

Extra-low dispersion glass and XR anti-reflective coatings provide excellent light gathering capability in low-light situations. Armortek coatings protect your lenses from scratches, oil, and dirt.

The versatile utility clip securely attaches to pack webbing or pocket edges for quick access. The ambidextrous strap helps provide a superior grip and added stability. Textured rubber armor improves your grip and enhances durability.
